Consultations Branch

The Consultations Branch enables one-on-one sessions between you and your clients, with built-in scheduling and payment handling.

Setting Up Consultations

Service Definition

For each consultation service, configure:

  • Title and description — What the consultation covers
  • Duration — Session length (30 minutes, 60 minutes, or custom)
  • Pricing — Per-session rate
  • Delivery method — Video call, phone, in-person, or a combination

Availability & Scheduling

  • Availability Calendar — Define available time slots across multiple days using the Availability Calendar. Each day can have different time windows
  • Schedule properties — Set the maximum number of customers per slot (1 for private sessions, more for group sessions)
  • Buffer time — Add gaps between sessions for preparation
  • Booking window — How far in advance clients can book (e.g., 2 weeks)
  • Cancellation policy — Set your cancellation and rescheduling rules
  • Post-deployment updates — Add or modify time slots at any time, even after going live

Intake Forms

Optionally create intake forms that clients complete before their session:

  • Custom questions relevant to your service
  • Required vs. optional fields
  • Pre-session information that helps you prepare

Client Experience

When a client books a consultation:

  1. They browse your available services and select one
  2. They choose from your available time slots in the Availability Calendar
  3. They complete any intake forms
  4. They pay through Stripe checkout
  5. Both parties receive confirmation and scheduling notifications with session details

Managing Sessions

Your dashboard shows:

  • Upcoming sessions — Scheduled consultations with client details
  • Past sessions — Session history and client records
  • Calendar view — Visual overview of your schedule
  • Meeting attendees — View confirmed participants for each booked session
  • Client notes — Add notes after each session for your records

Best Practices

  • Be specific about what you offer. “60-Minute Business Strategy Session” is more compelling than “Consulting.”
  • Set realistic availability. Leave buffer time between sessions to avoid burnout.
  • Use intake forms. Understanding the client’s situation before the session makes the time more productive.
  • Follow up. A brief follow-up message after a session builds trust and repeat business.
