Stripe Integration

Stripe is the payment processor for all Distancer.ai transactions. This guide covers connecting your account and completing verification.

Connecting Stripe

New to Stripe

If you don’t have a Stripe account:

  1. From your Distancer.ai dashboard, navigate to PaymentsConnect Stripe
  2. You’ll be redirected to Stripe’s onboarding flow
  3. Create your Stripe account, provide business details, and connect a bank account
  4. Once complete, you’ll be returned to Distancer.ai with your account linked

Existing Stripe Account

If you already have a Stripe account:

  1. Follow the same process — PaymentsConnect Stripe
  2. Log in with your existing Stripe credentials
  3. Authorize Distancer.ai to access your Stripe account
  4. Your existing account is now linked

Identity Verification (KYC)

Stripe requires Know Your Customer (KYC) verification for all accounts that process payments. This is a legal requirement — not a Distancer.ai policy.

What You’ll Need

For Individual Accounts:

  • Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or state ID)
  • Social Security Number (last 4 digits or full, depending on volume)
  • Date of birth
  • Home address

For Business/Organization Accounts:

  • Everything above for the account representative
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN)
  • Business formation documents (may be requested)
  • Business address

Verification Timeline

  • Most accounts: Verified within minutes
  • Some accounts: May take 24–48 hours if additional review is needed
  • Additional documents: Stripe may occasionally request supplementary documentation

Managing Your Stripe Account

Once connected, you can:

  • View your Stripe dashboard directly from Distancer.ai
  • Update bank account details through Stripe’s settings
  • Review transaction history and download statements
  • Configure payout schedules (daily, weekly, or monthly)

Disconnecting Stripe

If you need to disconnect your Stripe account:

  1. Navigate to Payments in your dashboard
  2. Select Disconnect Stripe
  3. Confirm the disconnection

Warning: Disconnecting Stripe will disable all payment processing on your live Business Project. Customers won’t be able to make purchases until a new Stripe account is connected.
