This page provides a transparent breakdown of all fees associated with running your business on Distancer.ai.

Fee Structure

There are three types of costs:

1. Platform Subscription

  • Free tier: Brainstorming, Sandbox, and project building — no charge
  • Paid subscription: Required to go live and accept real payments
  • Monthly billing, cancel anytime
  • Covers unlimited Business Branches and unlimited transactions

2. Stripe Processing Fees

Stripe charges standard processing fees on every transaction:

  • 2.9% + $0.30 per successful card payment (standard U.S. rate)
  • Additional fees may apply for international cards or specific payment methods
  • These fees are set by Stripe and are not controlled by Distancer.ai

3. Distancer.ai Platform Fee

  • A small percentage fee applied to each transaction
  • Deducted automatically before payout
  • Current rate is displayed in your dashboard under PaymentsFee Schedule

What’s Free

The following features are free with no transaction fees:

  • AI brainstorming sessions (unlimited)
  • Sandbox project building and testing
  • Unlimited Business Branches in Sandbox
  • Project editing and customization

Payout Schedule

Your earnings are deposited to the bank account connected to your Stripe account:

  • New accounts: Typically 7-day rolling payouts
  • Established accounts: Can be configured for 2-day, daily, weekly, or monthly payouts
  • Payout configuration: Managed through your Stripe dashboard

Tax Considerations

  • Distancer.ai does not withhold or remit taxes on your behalf
  • You are responsible for all applicable sales tax, income tax, and reporting
  • Stripe provides 1099 forms for U.S.-based sellers meeting IRS thresholds
  • Consult a tax professional for guidance specific to your situation
