The Digital Products Branch lets you sell downloadable files, templates, media, and other digital goods.

Setting Up Digital Products

Product Definition

For each digital product, configure:

  • Title and description — What the product is and who it’s for
  • File upload — The actual downloadable file(s)
  • Preview — Optional preview or sample for customers to evaluate before purchasing
  • Pricing — One-time purchase price
  • Format details — File type, size, and compatibility information

Supported File Types

You can sell any downloadable file format:

  • Documents (PDF, DOCX, XLSX)
  • Images and graphics (PNG, JPG, SVG, PSD)
  • Audio files (MP3, WAV, FLAC)
  • Video files (MP4, MOV)
  • Software and templates (ZIP archives)
  • E-books (EPUB, PDF)

Delivery Configuration

  • Instant download — Customer receives the file immediately after payment
  • Download limits — Optional limit on how many times a customer can download
  • Link expiration — Optional time limit on download links
  • License terms — Usage rights and restrictions for the purchased content

Customer Experience

When a customer purchases a digital product:

  1. They browse your product catalog with descriptions and previews
  2. They select a product and proceed to Stripe checkout
  3. After payment, they receive instant access to download
  4. A confirmation email includes the download link

Managing Digital Products

Your dashboard provides:

  • Sales tracking — Units sold and revenue per product
  • Download activity — Track who’s downloading and how often
  • File management — Update files (existing customers get the updated version)
  • Customer list — See who’s purchased each product

Product Ideas

Digital products work well for:

  • Course materials — Supplementary content for your classes
  • Templates — Business templates, design templates, planning tools
  • Creative assets — Stock photos, graphics, music, sound effects
  • Guides and e-books — In-depth written content on your expertise
  • Software tools — Utilities, plugins, scripts, or configurations

Tips

  • Offer previews. Customers are more likely to buy when they can see a sample.
  • Bundle related products. Group complementary items for a higher-value offering.
  • Update your products. Regular updates add value and encourage word-of-mouth.
  • Cross-promote. Link digital products from your other Branches (e.g., class recordings from your Classes Branch).
